Reading

Learning to read is vital for our children and it will help them to achieve their full potential in all areas of the curriculum. 

Please read with your child every day. Just 10 minutes a day will help them to develop their skills. All students have learning journals for you to record your reading in and this can help children to complete their reading rainbows in schools. Each completed rainbow means that the child can choose their own book to keep.

Spellings

Spellings are stuck into learning journals each Friday and will be tested the following Friday. 

Times tables

Times tables are vital for children to make good progress in maths. Children will have weekly times tables tests on Tuesdays. 

TT Rockstars is a great way to practise times tables and all children have their login stuck in their learning journal.
