E-Safety

Children use digital media and technology both at home and in school.  The Internet can be a powerful tool for finding out information, investigating new places and meeting people.  However, it also comes with some risks.  It can be very difficult to keep up with the latest APP or social media platform as the world of digital media changes rapidly.  However, to keep your children safe it is important that everyone knows and understands the risks.

Children should be monitored when on-line as they can access potentially frightening, inappropriate or dangerous information very quickly without the correct filters and monitoring in place.

In school, we deliver an e-safety curriculum as part of our work in Computing, PHSE and assemblies.  It is important that we keep revisiting this to ensure that children can keep themselves safe and know what to do or who to speak to if something goes wrong.
