What are we learning this term?
I am really looking forward to a busy Summer term with the Reception children. They have made a brilliant start and I am sure that will continue. We have started singing more regularly in class and learning some new songs. I hope they are singing a few of their favourite songs to you at home.
We are hoping to start Forest School on Fridays – this will be my first time in our forest and I am sure we will have a good time. Please look out for a letter for more information. This half term we have a topic linked to stories and I am looking forward to the children bringing in their favourite books from home to share in school. After that, we have a science themed topic where we will become top investigators and explore different materials. Next half term, we will be learning about summer, water and creatures under the sea. The children have chosen to have a police themed role play area and we will be talking about the role of the police through their play.
We have some amazing designers in Base 11 and they love making things so feel free to bring in any junk modelling for them to develop their skills.
Enjoy the warmer weather and longer days,
